Tour Guiding Event At The National War Memorial Southern Command

As a part of co-curricular activities, For each and every batch a tour guiding event is arranged by Ties Institute!

Our upcoming tour guiding event will be to visit National War Memorial Southern Command, Pune.

This war memorial is dedicated to post-Independence war martyrs. This is the only war memorial in South Asia that has been erected by citizens’ contributions.

The Southern Command of the Indian Army hosts a sound and light show every Saturday and Sunday.

This is the first-of-its-kind initiative the army has taken in the country.

The objective of the move was to showcase the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces.

A replica of the now decommissioned frigate INS Trishul, which served in the Liberation of Goa and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, is also on display.

This tour guiding event will be conducted by our student Madhura Wanjare from this year’s batch 3.

Madhura Wanjare has completed her graduation in BA psychology. Tourism is something that has always inspired her to grow and get new perspectives. This is the reason she joined the PG course with us at Ties institute. Her hobbies are reading, writing articles and blogs, and theater arts. She actively participates in all classroom as well as co-curricular activities. We wish her good luck with her tour guiding activity.
